TEP inguinal hernia repair using LAP BiSect Micro, VIO® 3 and VIRON X

Total ExtraPeritoneal (TEP) hernioplasty is a minimally invasive surgical technique used for the repair of inguinal hernias.
In this case, Dr. Sujith highlights several key intraoperative moments, including:

  • dissection of the preperitoneal space
  • mobilization of the hernia sac, and
  • exposure and identification of the testicular vessels, spermatic duct, and external iliac vessels using near-infrared (NIR) imaging.

Throughout the procedure, he utilizes the VIO® 3 electrosurgical unit together with the LAP BiSect Micro instrument for controlled cutting and coagulation.
The VIRON X endoscopy system provides both 4K and near‑infrared visualization to support clear exposure and accurate identification of the anatomical structures involved.
