APC Ablation of ovarian endometrioma
using APCapplicator

Endometriomas may be considered the most serious threat to a woman’s reproductive potential.
The video shows a combined treatment technique with partial endometrioma resection respecting the wall of the cyst and sparing APC ablation of the internal surface of the remaining endometrioma wall with limited penetration depth. Prof. M. Candiani uses this method in his clinical practise.
Argon plasma coagulation (APC) was carried out with a laparoscopic APCapplicator powered by VIO^® 3 and APC 3. The endoscopic images were generated by a VIRON X system.
