Heterotopic gastric mucosa – APC ablation using the FiAPC® plus probe with pulsedAPC® E3.5

The 59-year-old patient suffers from severe laryngitis and chronic coughing. A possible cause is heterotopic gastric mucosa in the proximal esophagus. Argon plasma coagulation is performed by Dr. Torsten Beyna using the Erbe FiAPC® plus probe, connected to the APC 3 and VIO® 3 generators, to reduce acid production. The flexible probe allows targeted ablation with a transparent hood for better visibility. The ablation is carried out step by step from distal to proximal, with the probe working effectively without leaving tissue residues.
