APC ablation in radiation proctitis using APC 3 and FiAPC® plus A probe

Argon plasma coagulation (APC) is a non-contact ablative therapy to treat the mucosal inflammation or rectal bleeding in patients who have developed proctitis as a result of radiotherapy. This method appears to be very effective. Dr. Torsten Beyna demonstrates this method with a FiAPC® plus A probe connected to a APC 3 device by using the fast pulsedAPC® VIO® 3 mode, effect 5.5. He works for some time in retroflexive alignment of the probe, which, thanks to its flexibility, can be easily navigated in complex anatomical regions.
