ESGE Days Dublin 2023 – Erbe-Symposium: Tips and Tricks of Electrosurgery

The symposium, moderated by Professors Horst Neuhaus (Germany) and Alessandro Repici (Italy), featured renowned gastroenterologists who presented interesting and informative lectures. The event was a success, showcasing the importance of training in electrosurgery, with the new concept of encouraging more time for discussion and exchange being particularly appreciated. Application topics were also found to be more attractive to visitors than pure information about instruments and devices.
The keynote lecture was presented by Professor Repici on “Improving GI Outcomes through Specialized Electrosurgical Modes,” followed by an impulse lecture from Professor Arnaud Lemmers (Belgium) on “Targeted Electrosurgical Modes for
Precise Dissection.” Professor Lemmers shared his settings for dissection using the preciseSECT mode, as well as for swiftCOAG®, softCOAG®, endoCUT®, dryCUT®, sprayCOAG and softCOAG® bipolar.
The symposium concluded with an expert panel discussion featuring Professors Neuhaus, Repici, Lemmers, Roberta Maselli (Italy), Axel Eickhoff (Germany) and Michal Kaminsky (Poland), in which they shared their experiences and engaged in a lively discussion. Their valuable insights were of interest to the vast majority of the physicians in attendance.
