Targeted therapy of radiation proctitis with FiAPC probe, APC 3 and VIO® 3 using the preciseAPC mode

Radiation proctitis represents a condition which can occur even years after radiotherapy for pelvic disease. Complications can severely affect life quality and are sometimes challenging for the endoscopist.
Our FiAPC probes in combination with VIO® 3 and APC 3 allow for treatment of the altered vascular structures in the rectal mucosa. With the preciseAPC mode Erbe provides fine argon plasma coagulation for contactless treatment of these angiodysplastic structures selectively and superficially to prevent subsequent ulcer formation – for a sustainable successful therapy.
Prof. Neumann from University Hospital Mainz, Germany, will present his approach to radiation proctitis in an anemic patient with failure to previous therapy.
