Ablation of esophageal stent ingrowth with APC 2

Proliferation of tumor tissue through the mesh of the esophageal stent often occurs when using non-coated metal stents. Argon plasma coagulation (APC) with flexible probes have proved to be very effective in removing such in- and overgrowths compared to other procedures such as contact coagulation or laser treatments. The APC 2 and flexible probes with axial and circumferential beam forms are suitable for this application.
